Oscar Marin Sanz, Mindset, Breathwork & Cold Exposure Coach
Can you introduce yourself and share a bit about your background?
My name is Oscar Marín. I’m originally from Madrid, Spain, and currently based in the Netherlands. For many years, I worked in finance as a Senior Commercial Controller, but life eventually led me down a very different path—one rooted on self-healing, personal growth, and helping others. Along the way, I faced chronic pain, anxiety, and an autoimmune condition, as well as struggles with my identity and body image. These challenges became my greatest teachers, inspiring me to discover practices that helped me reconnect with my body and to life itself.
What inspired you to start your company, and what is its mission?
My company, Oscar IceHeart, was born out of my own transformation. A few years ago, I discovered the power of conscious breathing, cold exposure, and the mind-body connection. These practices helped me manage chronic inflammation from axial spondylarthritis and brought me mental clarity after years of feeling disconnected. I realized I wanted to share these tools with others. I want to show that it’s possible to reclaim your health and inner strength, no matter how far you feel you’ve drifted from yourself.
Today, I’m a certified Wim Hof Method instructor and a member of AEPSA, the Spanish Association for Health Promotion. My work now focuses on helping others reconnect with their bodies, build resilience, and experience the deep transformation that arises when we step back into our own power. My mission is to help people cultivate self-trust, discover their potential, and feel at home within themselves again.
What makes your approach or your workshops unique?
I believe in creating an experience that feels deeply personal and welcoming. My workshops are intentionally kept intimate so that everyone feels seen, heard, and supported. I combine breathwork, cold immersion, and mindset training, but always in a way that respects each person’s unique pace and background.
What makes my approach unique is the emphasis on safety, presence, and genuine connection. It’s not just about learning techniques, it’s about building a space where people can explore their edges, release old patterns, and discover how much strength and freedom already lives inside them. My goal is for every participant to walk away feeling empowered, reconnected to themselves, and inspired to keep growing.
What challenges have you faced along the way, and how have they shaped you?
One of the biggest challenges was letting go of an identity I had built around my corporate career and facing my own vulnerabilities. Living with chronic pain and learning to trust my body again was also a long journey. But every difficulty taught me compassion for myself and for others. It made me realize that many people carry invisible struggles, and that true healing begins when we feel safe to express our story and be ourselves.
What do you hope people take away from working with you?
I hope people leave with a sense of hope and possibility that no matter where they are, they have the power to change their relationship with themselves. I want them to feel inspired to take ownership of their health, to trust their inner wisdom, and to see their body as an ally rather than an enemy. My wish is that they remember they are not alone, and that transformation is always possible when we dare to show up for ourselves with honesty and compassion.
