Nutritional Therapist & Registered Herbalist

Rachael Jordan began her educational pursuits in the art world as a photographer but was constantly drawn to natural medicine. She always had a natural desire to help people and a love for nature and living in tune with the earth. Natural alternatives excited her and she loved experimenting with home remedies in the kitchen for colds and sore throats, which she was chronically prone to growing up. In 2010 she changed her career path to care for a terminally ill family member, she took a leap of faith at this time and began studying nutrition and herbal medicine.

She set up her practice in 2014 and called it Bia Beo, which is Irish for Food of Life. Her initial passion was in women's health. She felt she wanted to be an expert in her own body and had a desire to help other women do the same. But she kept getting drawn into gut health, and she began to see that when she focused on gut health with her clients, that incredible transformations began to happen.

She has continued to study throughout her 10 years of clinical practice and believes she will be a student forever as there is always something new to know. Her first stepping stone into studies back in 2010 was online with Kingdom College of Natural Health in the U.S; she continued her studies with the Irish Institute of Nutrition & Health (IINH) and underwent 300 hours of clinical training with them. She went on to study with the Plant Medicine School in Co. Cork, Ireland and underwent 500 hours of clinical training. She has completed numerous trainings and courses in women’s health, natural fertility, gastrointestinal health and the gut and skin microbiome. Most recently she studied with the Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION) in London and obtained her Honours Degree in Nutritional Therapy. Rachael is a Nutritional Therapist & Registered Herbalist and a member of The Nutritional Therapists of Ireland Association (NTOI) and The Irish Register of Herbalists (IRH). She maintains continual professional development on a yearly basis, keeping up with the latest research and developments in nutrition and natural approaches to healing.

Rachael has helped countless people over the last 10 years to take control of their health and connect with their body once again; resolving their frustrating and sometimes debilitating symptoms – the results have been life changing for numerous people. Individuals suffering with gastritis, GERD, SIBO, Candida, IBS and unexplained digestive issues have worked with Rachael and finally resolved their symptoms. Many women have worked with Rachael to get to the bottom of their hormonal issues and finally were given an easy to follow plan that improved their PCOS, Endometriosis, irregular periods, painful periods, acne, PMS and menopausal symptoms. Rachael has also helped men, women, and children with their skin complaints; eczema, psoriasis, hives and rashes. She believes that her focus on gut health is the key to combating these common complaints.

Rachael lives in Dublin, Ireland with her husband and young son in their beautiful home by the coast. Her garden is filled with colourful plants, aromatic herbs and fruit trees; her little piece of heaven as she calls it. She now, rarely is sick and is not plagued by chronic sore throats and colds that once seemed never ending. She believes this transformation is solely down to the changes in her diet and lifestyle that she learned about in her studies many moons ago now. Rachael is available for online consultations, connecting with people all over the world.
